In the 21st century, electronics engineering has expanded its scope beyond the essential semiconductor telecommunication industries to a vastly wider area , becoming indispensable in all industries. As most of the convergence technologies with medicine, bio, automobiles, and shipbuilding are realized through electronics engineering, the demand for high-quality manpower in the electronics engineering field has significantly grown. The Department of Electronics Engineering aims to cultivate expertise in engineers who will contribute to the industrial development and technical innovations through education and research on the basics and applications of the information technology(IT), the new growth engine technology for the 21st century. With a long and rich tradition and experience, this department deals with all the fields in electronics engineering, including telecommunication, signal processing, integrated circuit design, semiconductors, photoelectronics, and control systems. The department has 17 full-time professors and 3 staff members who help students with their fine-quality education and promising life beyond academia.
